A tool to help firms work out just how much work-related accidents and
ill-health are costing has been launched by the HSC.
The ready reckoner is designed to help cut the £6.5bn bill from health and
safety failures suffered by firms every year – with more than one million
workers falling prey to work-related accidents and ill-health. It is aimed at
small and medium-sized businesses and is being published as a free leaflet and
on an interactive website.
The tool explains the associated costs of accidents and ill health at work
and helps users to work out how much their own firm might be losing.
