Denise
Kingsmill, chairwoman of the Accounting for People Task Force, is planning to
step down from her role as deputy head of the Competition Commission, according
to reports.
Kingsmill
has been at the commission for more than five years, but it is understood she
has told trade and industry secretary Patricia Hewitt that she plans to leave.
The
move would seem to rule her out as a successor to Sir Derek Morris, the current
leader, who leaves next Easter.
