We save you surf time by searching out the best sites for coaching and
mentoring
The Coaching and Mentoring Network
www.coachingnetwork.org.uk
A good all round resource on the subject aimed at those seeking or providing
coaching and mentoring services. There is a search mechanism to help you find a
coach, plus a comprehensive resource section featuring books, articles,
multimedia, websites and case studies. It also has the full lowdown on coaching
and mentoring training and accreditation in the UK and the US.
Diversity Mentoring UK
www.diversitymentoringuk.com
Diversity Mentoring UK incorporates two mentoring programmes for students in
the North West, West Yorkshire and London: the Interface Programme links black
and Asian students with employers and the Interact Programme links students
with disabilities with employers. The site provides background information on
both schemes and you can register your interest in becoming involved with them
online.
National Mentoring Network
www.nmn.org.uk
The network exists to help promote mentoring in all its various guises – and
there is a section dedicated to defining them on this site. You can also brush
up on the NMN’s 10 steps to successful mentoring and find out more about the
ninth Annual European Mentoring Conference, which takes place near Cambridge on
17 and 18 October 2002.
The Oxford School of Coaching & Mentoring
www.oscm.co.uk
A provider of coaching and mentoring services but the site includes an
excellent range of resources and links on the subject that will save time if
you want to find out more including who are the major players. Among them is a
booklist, which links to Amazon; and clicking on the library menu offers a
range of free articles including surveys on coaching and mentoring in Acrobat pdf
format.
Center for Coaching and Mentoring
www.coachingandmentoring.com
This site is US in both look and feel and, as above, its core business is
selling coaching and mentoring services but there is a wealth of free
information and tools. These include a range of leadership quizzes for
individual rather than team use such as Coaching Up, Test Your Readiness and
What Are Your Influencing Tactics? Also worth a look is the section of online
polls carried out.

HRZone
www.hrzone.co.uk
Registration is required to make full use of this site but it only takes a
few minutes and is well worth it for the community aspects it offers. A search
for ‘coaching and mentoring’ brings up several useful sections including a
directory of 120 online coaches; and an area of the Trainers’ Toolkit Library
is devoted to coaching and mentoring.
