Sector Skills Councils are unable to deliver the goods

My experience with Sector Skills Councils (SSCs) has been that the one thing I need right now can’t be delivered (Personnel Today, 13 December).

We need to be able to conduct skills audits of our staff in vocational and professional areas, using simple sector-specific skills frameworks for local government jobs. Are these available from the SSCs or indeed anything similar?
