LL head of research Jane Knight said new tools such as blogs and podcasts have helped create a second generation of e-learning, called ‘Web 2.0’.

She added that the research will help LL better understand 10 key e-learning issues such as technology trends and learning theory.
The 2006 Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development learning survey found that just 1% of respondents thought e-learning was the most effective learning method.
