Candidates seeking a key tourism qualification will no longer have to sit exams.
National awarding body NCFE said its “new and improved” assessment process for customer service qualifications in the hospitality industry will not include externally marked exams.

Instead, candidates taking the Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service for Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Tourism will be assessed on their portfolios.
Tourism South East head of training Sue Gill said the development is “really great news” as the qualification would be “much more accessible to employers”.
