Honda’s
purpose-built £2m training institute opened last week.
The
Honda Institute will provide business and technical training for 9,000
dealership staff.
Pauline
Wiseman, head of the institute, which is based at Colnbrook, near Heathrow,
said, "The centre is being opened to support expansion of our Honda
business in the UK. We plan to increase the number of dealership franchises and
will have more staff joining the Honda dealership."
As
well as dealership staff, the institute will train staff of companies
associated with Honda. It will also be a showcase to Honda customers, housing
new cars and motorbikes.
Wiseman
said, "Companies talk of people as their greatest asset but at Honda we
are more concerned with actions than words."
