Staff
working on computers with internet access are spending as much as 10 per cent
of the day dealing with junk e-mails.
The
survey of 160 computer managers by internet security firm MessageLabs found
that one in seven e-mails were unwanted.
Unsolicited
e-mails, known as ‘spam’, are often untraceable and three quarters of the
managers questioned expected the problem to get worse.
