Hundreds of UK call centre jobs are under threat after T-Mobile announced plans to move a contact centre abroad.
The mobile phone giant said customer services would soon be provided from a call centre in Manila, the Philippines, known as T-Mobile Dela Rosa. A gradual transfer of services from the current provider, TSC, to the new centre will take place by August, putting more than 500 UK jobs at risk.

A T-Mobile statement said: “We can not comment on the possible impact this will have on TSC staff. However, T-Mobile is working closely with TSC to mitigate and minimise the impact of this decision.”
The more complex aspects of customer support will continue to be managed by T-Mobile staff based in the UK.
