Talent FQ launched by Head Light Communications

by Personnel Today 2 Jun 2009
by Personnel Today 2 Jun 2009

Talent FQ is a free, new and innovative web-based assessment form Head Light Communications, that enables organisations to determine how capable their management population are in giving performance enhancing and developmental feedback.

Using our Talent Spotter assessment technology, users are asked to face a number of challenging feedback situations and to identify effective and ineffective strategies from those given.

Debbie Hance, Head of Business Psychology at Head Light Communications says ‘we have identified and profiled the underpinning competences possessed by those who are very skilled at giving feedback.

This has enabled us to construct an assessment with solid and evidence-based foundations’.

Talent FQ has been piloted and tested among leading experts in the coaching and career development field and is now available for use.

Organisations can use Talent FQ as a diagnostic to determine which managers might benefit from the development of their skills in this area.  An individual report is generated for every test taker and normalised against a wide sample group.

The report highlights strengths and weaknesses against the underpinning competences and draws attention to any ‘red-flag’ type situations.

Ian Lee-Emery, Managing Director of Head Light Communications comments, ‘To mark its launch, we have made this assessment free to use by qualifying organisations and should they use the test and then elect to choose our Feedback Training course, then we will also be able to offer a number of free places.’
