Teachers are suffering from stress because of lack of support from superiors, according to NUT general secretary Doug McAvoy.

McAvoy made the comment in response to the case of a 45-year-old Shropshire teacher who received £300,000 in compensation after suffering a stress-related nervous breakdown.
McAvoy said, “For too many teachers around the country this lack of care is an increasing part of our daily lives.”
