The Bite Size learning centre continues to grow

by Personnel Today 15 Aug 2008
by Personnel Today 15 Aug 2008

In an economic downturn, training budgets are usually the first to be challenged as businesses are put under pressure to cut their spending and begin their search for the low cost, readily available courses to add to their training toolkit.

So imagine paying less than £100 a year for hundreds of bite size lessons in desktop applications that your staff need to use everyday whether it’s Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook or Project.

At a fraction of the cost of a typical one day training course and complementing your existing programmes, your staff can access what they need, at the time of need and at a pace to suit them.

Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced courses are available for those who have more time to learn or individual lessons can be searched in the lesson library.

The Bite Size learning centre is the ideal solution for any business to keep their employees up to date on common desk top applications.

The lesson library is reviewed constantly with new lessons being added daily and new applications being written to meet our users’ needs.

So what’s in the library?

Lessons are written in MS 2003 and are available at Introductory, Intermediate and Advanced levels for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project.

The library is growing daily with Visio, Access, Internet and Windows Explorer and 2007 applications coming soon.

What does a lesson contain?

Tell me, Show me, Let me try.  We’ll explain the tip, show you a movie then give you an exercise to download so you can have a try and see how easy it is.

How can I find what I need?

Our high powered search facility will provide links to the relevant lessons containing a chosen key word or phrase, so your staff can always find what they need at the time of need—24 hours a day.

An annual subscription to Bite Size equates to only 27p a day (or less) per user and being desk top learning, your staff are able to learn as they work.

We will even send a bite size tip every week via email to keep the lesson library front of mind and provide a handy tip that your staff will want to try and learn something new every week!
