Topaz wins Medacs Healthcare Services contract

by Personnel Today 24 Oct 2007
by Personnel Today 24 Oct 2007

Topaz has been awarded the contract to supply integrated financial and credit control software to Medacs Healthcare Services and Blue Arrow Care – both key companies within The Corporate Services Group (CSG), one of the top five providers of staffing solutions in the UK with a turnover of £535million.

Both Medacs, the leading supplier of medical locums, nurses and allied health professionals to the NHS, and Blue Arrow Care, who are prominent in providing care staff, had originally decided to purchase the standalone Topaz Credit Control module.

The initial plan was to either upgrade or replace the CSG legacy credit control application. However it soon became apparent that Topaz Financials ticked more boxes for their particular needs. So instead of just buying the standalone Credit Control module, they opted to purchase the full Topaz Financials package.

“Like most companies in our sector, we wanted to tighten our staffing levels and were recommended to look at Topaz Credit Control,” says Julian Barford, the Finance Manager.

“Although our debtor days were already good, Topaz will now enable us not only to reduce them further, but also substantially improve management information and general efficiency. Now when a credit controller needs to be told what to do – the system does it.

“Before if we had an invoice for £10,000 creeping through the system and it was at 60 days, it would be hidden in the nominal ledger. Now it won’t escape notice.
