Continuous professional development (CPD) could soon be de rigeur for most accredited members of UK professional bodies.

The second annual CPD survey found that the practice is mandatory in about 50% of responding institutions, while about half of the rest expect it to be in the next five years. Overall almost 90% of respondents said the requirements placed on members to meet CPD requirements would grow.
