HR
directors in the UK are the highest paid in Europe, according to a report.
The
Worldwide Total Remuneration survey claims that the average basic salary
for an HR director working in Britain is £110,946 – a year-on-year rise of
nearly £7,000.
A
UK-based HR director receives £217,570 a year, including bonuses and share
options, according to the report by HR consultancy Towers Perrin.
Belgium
came second with a total package worth £210,365 and a basic salary of £97,799.
But
HR directors in the US are the best paid with an average total remuneration of
£313,751, with a salary of £125,742. They also receive the most valuable
long-term incentives, with an average share options worth £81,732.
