Vodafone has filled over a fifth of the company’s IT and
engineering positions over the past year using e-recruitment.
The mobile phone company has recruited on average 21 per
cent of IT and engineering positions through its interactive website
www.vodafone.co.uk/careers.
The site lists current vacancies and has an electronic
application form for perspective employees to fill in. The form is sent
straight to the team that are filling the vacancy.
If there is not a job that suits the browsers needs then
they can fill in an on-line perfect Vodafone job form and attach their CV.
“We are finding that an increasing number of technical
applicants use the careers site. We are always looking for talented people and
the web enables us to profile our jobs in more details so the match of
applicants is precise,” said Nigel Brocklehurst, Vodafone UK’s HR director.
“We face some exciting challenges in the future as our
services expand which will create excellent opportunities for new and existing
staff. The web is the perfect way of communicating our vacancies to a wide
audience, enabling us to attract the best candidates for the job.”
