Warwickshire Police force is urging people from minority ethnic communities to attend a recruitment event in Coventry.
Officers from Warwickshire, which has just 32 ethnic minority officers in a force of more than 1,000, will be at the Coventry Muslim Resource Centre next week.
The session is open to anyone interested in a career in the police service, but the force is keen to encourage more people from ethnic minorities to apply.
PC Seamus Faulkner, the force’s outreach recruitment officer, said: “We do not currently employ enough ethnic minority individuals and are encouraging more individuals to apply.
