Bank of Cyprus UK selects Bowland Solutions to implement a tailored, online 360-degree feedback system.

by Personnel Today 22 Feb 2010

As part of their ongoing commitment to management development, Bank of Cyprus UK have launched a new bespoke on-line 360 degree feedback system with the support of Bowland Solutions.

The starting point was working from their own competency framework to create a series of questionnaires for the different levels of manager within the organisation.

The questionniares were then uploaded into their on-line system which was fully branded to be consistent with the Bank of Cyprus UK style.

Initiating a 360 degree feedback process was simple and quick; administrators would create a new 360 programme from their homepage, select the appropriate questionnaire, before adding the recipients and their respective respondents and sending out invitations.

Users would complete the questionnaire containing rated statements and the ability to add free-text comments under each competency heading.

At the end of the process, individual reports are made available for printing in PDF format, before sharing with the recipient in a face-to-face debrief.

Reports were presented in a very easy to interpret format with aggregated ratings and comments to preserve anonymity and enable the indvidual to quickly see the balance of strengths and development areas.

John Rice, Director with Bowland Solutions, adds, “This was great example of a straightforward 360 degree feedback process which focused on what was best for the individual recipient and users; simplicity, clarity and user-friendliness.”
