Tribunal watch: Female prosecutors could get £1m following equal pay win

The Public Prosecution Service (PPS) in Northern Ireland could have to pay 15 female prosecutors up to £1 million after a Fair Employment Tribunal found that they had been paid less than their male counterparts after a restructure. PPS “discriminated against women prosecutors”, tribunal rules Fifteen senior women prosecutors have successfully sued the Public Prosecution Service (PPS) in Northern Ireland for sex discrimination, reports the BBC.

Boss cleared of calling disabled worker “a size-22, fat and ugly cripple” The Manchester Evening News has reported that a boss at a leading opticians has been cleared of calling a disabled female worker “a size-22, fat and ugly cripple” before she was sacked.

BT call centre worker loses unfair dismissal claim A BT call centre worker in Dundee who had a lengthy absence record has lost his claim for unfair dismissal, according to the Courier.
