How do you spend your learning budget?

Organisations cut learning budgets back to the core during the economic downturn, and as they begin to invest in training again, they are giving careful consideration to where their money goes.

XpertHR is investigating spending trends in learning and development. By sharing details about how your organisation spends its staff development budget with us, you will receive a complimentary copy of a report on our findings, and a free copy of the 2014 XpertHR employers’ use of competencies survey report, emailed to you on completion of the survey.

Our 2014 survey of learning and development budgets showed that:

• the median annual learning and development budget was £95,000;
• average spend per employee was £299;
• one in three respondents had increased their learning budget in the past 12 months; and
• 30% anticipated an increase in spending in the next 12 months, 48% thought it would remain the same, and 14% expected their budget to be cut.
