by Personnel Today 29 Oct 2008

Cegos Group, Europe’s largest learning and development company, today announced that Jeremy Blain, Joint Managing Director of Cegos UK, is to become Director for International Partner Network Development for Cegos Group as of January 1st 2009.

Francis Marshall, previously Cegos UK’s Joint Managing Director with Jeremy, will assume full responsibility for management of Cegos UK and its ambitious growth plans as sole Managing Director.

The appointments are recognition of how Cegos UK has been driving a number of global learning & development initiatives and is providing a strong platform for global expansion.

In his new role, Jeremy will be responsible for driving and developing existing international partnerships, seeking new partners in key countries, and supervising concrete implementation of these new partnerships to enhance Cegos Group’s growing global footprint.

Jeremy will be based in the UK which Cegos Group sees as a strategic base for its long-term international expansion plans.

As Managing Director of Cegos UK, Francis will be tasked with increasing UK market share and driving forward Cegos’ two flagship products – Global Learning by Cegos, a fully integrated, supported and blended training solution, combining skills-based, face-to-face learning with relevant and interactive online training modules; and e-learning solutions by Cegos – a catalogue of over 250 off-the-shelf online training modules designed with the learner in mind – making them interactive, fun and useful.

Said Jacques Coquerel, Chairman of Cegos,

“We are delighted to be making such high calibre appointments today. With faster growth in our international activities and a reinforcement of our network of partners and distributors in countries such as Russia, the Netherlands, the USA, Morocco and Japan, Jeremy’s experience in developing international programmes will be invaluable as we look to build momentum.”

“Developing our business in the UK market will also be vital as we continue to meet the demand for e-learning and blended learning with ever more innovative solutions. Francis and Cegos UK are ideally placed to capitalise on these opportunities.”
