On the move: Pam Brown, John Evans, Shahzad Saleem

Construction industry supplier Wolseley has appointed Pam Brown as head of HR services and development. Brown, who joins Wolseley from North Yorkshire County Council, will be responsible for overseeing both the HR centralised services and learning and development functions.

John Evans has joined transport company FirstGroup as group HR director. Evans joins FirstGroup from Strathclyde Police, where he was HR director. He will be responsible for ensuring that the company’s staff continue to receive the training and leadership skills needed for personal development and moving the business forward.

Shahzad Saleem has been appointed HR programmes director at telecoms company BT, joining the retail HR and transformation team. Saleem was previously finance director for BT Directories.
