ICME launches cast metal industry career site

by Personnel Today 29 Feb 2008
by Personnel Today 29 Feb 2008

The ICME CareerSite is a new CareerSite launched by the well-respected Institute of Cast Metal Engineers.

ICME’s current portfolio of member services includes a free monthly journal, technical information and support, reduced price technical books, advice on training opportunities and professional development, unlimited networking opportunities, internationally recognised professional grades, as well as registration with the Engineering Council, and more.

ICME has teamed up with Brainhunter to add a fully functional job board to the services they make available to their extensive membership community within the UK.

The site offers recruitment firms and companies the opportunity to post all their cast metal industry related vacancies.

Quality not quantity and a focus on benchmarking its performance by successful hires not by how many jobs it can attract, is the key to raising the bar and the core objective of the ICME CareerSite.

Colin Minto, Managing Director, Recruiting Technology Solutions, Brainhunter and ex Technology Director at The Recruitment and Employment Confederation, commented: “Quality recruiters and employers want premium advertising positioning and do not want their job opportunities buried within a myriad of others of differing quality. In addition, job seekers want access to relevant and current opportunities and to be safe in the knowledge that the release of their personal data is in their hands”.

He added, “The ICME CareerSite, operated in partnership with Brainhunter, aims to deliver against these needs and has a proven track record by powering in excess of 100 CareerSite’s globally”.

Pam Murrell of ICME said: “We really feel that the job board will be of great value to the community of ICME we have built up over the years.  The partnership with Brainhunter has allowed us to create a fabulous career site capitalising on the unrivalled technology platform operated by them.  This will really help us to build on the excellent reputation we have in recruitment advertising though the printed Foundry Trade Journal and should help us to offer a comprehensive service to employers and job seekers alike, at all levels in the industry.”
