On the move: Paul Davies, Gabriele Arend, Johnny Nichols

Telecommuni­cations firm Spectra Telecom has appointed Paul Davies as training director. He will be responsible for developing training courses for specialists with the latest technology skills. Previously, Davies was senior non-commissioned officer at Royal Signals, the Army IT and communications group.

Cosmetics brand Elizabeth Arden has recruited Gabriele Arend as HR director, UK & Ireland. She will be in charge of all aspects of HR, including retention and recruitment. She was formerly HR manager, wholesale, UK & Europe, for fashion brand Burberry.

Johnny Nichols has moved to Bird & Bird Solicitors as head of HR, having been an employment lawyer for eight years. He will be tasked with engaging staff to improve performance. Prior to joining, he was head of HR for banking and tax at law firm Allen & Overy.
