Hitachi Europe has appointed Geoff Smith as director of HR. He will be responsible for developing the HR strategy in Europe and ensuring HR is consistent across the group.

Global technology company NCR has announced that Bridie Fanning will become senior vice-president of HR from September. She joins NCR from General Electric, where she was VP of HR at GE Retail Consumer Finance.

Helen Evans has been appointed as HR manager at Jurys Inn Hotel in Milton Keynes. She will oversee training and development for all staff. Evans was previously HR manager at Moat House Hotels.
