Insurer trips up over claim
An insurance worker has won compensation from her employer after she tripped and fell over a pile of accident claim forms. Underwriter Linda Riley reached an out-of-court settlement last week after claiming 5,000 in damages against Norwich Union’s parent company Aviva.

Thursday is the worst day
HR professionals in companies around the world are least productive on a Thursday, according to new research. Only 4% said it was their most productive day, closely followed by Fridays (5%). The start of the week is the best time for HR professionals, with 18% claiming to be productive on a Monday and 15% on a Tuesday. More than half (55%) said they were not productive every day of the week.
