Union chief suspended in inquiry row

The GMB national executive has supended the union’s general sectretary, Kevin Curran, following allegations that he tried to contact the QC investigating ballot-rigging investigations

The national executive of the GMB general union accused Curran, its general secretary, of contacting John Hand, QC, who was conducting an investigation into allegations of ballot-rigging during the leadership election in 2003.
