Kim Lardge has been recruited from the private sector to head up the HR team at the Forestry Commission, with responsibility for more than 3,000 staff. Her previous experience includes roles at the BBC, BSkyB and most recently the Royal Bank of Scotland.
Opodo, the online travel service, has appointed Garry Thompson as HR director. He brings 19 years of HR experience to the company, 15 years of which have been within the travel technology industry. Thompson will join the executive team and will be responsible for developing the existing HR and organisation development strategy.
Tim Sparkes has joined Kiddy & Partners, a leading people management consultancy. Previously a managing psychologist at Pearn Kandola, he will work in delivering talent management and assessment solutions for Kiddy’s clients, which include HSBC, Goldman Sachs, Imperial Tobacco and Visa.
