Finance directors back workplace reform

Four
in five UK finance directors believe companies should improve work environments
to boost employee productivity.

Finance
directors questioned in the Reed Accountancy/Accountancy Age ‘Big Question’
survey made a strong link between employees’ quality of life and work output.

Flexible
working was highlighted by many as the best way to improve the work environment
and employees’ general work-life balance. Healthy lifestyle concerns were also
cited by directors.

“In
these more challenging times, we have proved that happy staff are much more
willing to go the extra mile when needed and more likely to stay with us for
longer,” said Bryan Armour, financial director at Parchment Housing Group.
