Staff resolve to change jobs in the New Year

The
start of the New Year has led to a major drop in career satisfaction, with more
than one in four workers resolving to leave their current job.

A
report by Foundation Degrees found that the start of the New Year has made
people re-evaluate their careers, with almost half the workforce admitting that
they drifted into their current professions rather than actively choosing them.

Indifference
and apathy were major themes, with a quarter of employees citing their current
jobs as nothing more than a way to pay the bills.

The
financial sector was the least satisfied with 53 per cent of staff looking to
move jobs, while employees in the education and healthcare sectors proved to be
the happiest.
