A skills shortage in the dotcom sector is forcing employers to recruit nepotistically, according to a report released today.
The report, by PricewaterhousesCoopers, called After the gold rush – the dotcom dilemma, shows that nearly three-quarters of respondents recruited their management teams because they were friends rather than for their business experience.
The survey of 400 European dotcoms claims that the skills shortage will continue to force employers to source talent from their own family and friends.
