The BBC College of Journalism, RBS Insurance, Reed Learning and Accenture are among the winners of the prestigious World of Learning Awards 2008, which were announced last night in Birmingham.
Presented by well-known comedian and satirist Marcus Brigstocke, the event was attended by more than 450 of the UK’s leading learning and development professionals and showcased the very best organisations and individuals whose outstanding achievements have notably improved workplace productivity and performance.
Now in their eighth year, the Awards are acknowledged as the premier event for honouring learning-specific solutions.
In association with the Daily Mail and the British Institute of Learning & Development (BILD), the highly competitive Awards recognise the highest standards of achievement within the industry and are one of the highlights of World of Learning 2008, the UK’s key conference and exhibition for business learning.
Andrew Gee, Senior Project Manager for the World of Learning Awards, said:
“This has been an outstanding year for the World of Learning Awards with a large number of high quality entries. The quality of entries was extremely high and surpassed our expectations. It is a great achievement for all the winners, who are a shining example of the supreme accolade in the learning and development industry in the UK.
