9-20 recruitment recognised as UK’s leading IT recruitment company

by Personnel Today 19 Mar 2009

9-20 recruitment have now been recognized as one of the UK’s leading IT recruitment company’s, after being nominated as finalist in the recruiter awards for excellence 2009.

Having made it to the final stages in the ‘Best Newcomer’ category in 2006 the nomination in this year’s ‘Best IT Recruitment Firm’ award demonstrates the giant strides forward 9-20 have made towards achieving their goal as market leaders in the IT recruitment industry.

The company puts their success down to it’s loyal clients retained business, made possible through their unique recruitment model and the use of it’s award winning skills matching software.

Throughout 2008 the company has seen the launch of the 9-20 network, Scotland’s first career portal solely for IT candidates, a brand new recruitment website and their very own real time skills matching software, mentioned above.

The software, recognized by Dell in their most recent Small Business Award and by the Scottish Software Awards in the 2008 competition is already causing quite a stir in the market as the first of its kind from an IT recruitment company.

On the nomination, Business Growth Advisor Sean Connaughton from Scotland’s Business Gateway said,

“Everyone in the Business Gateway Team is delighted for all the staff at 9-20 recruitment in achieving their nomination at this year’s Recruiter Awards for Excellence. It is always good to see Scottish firms performing well in the UK and being recognised for their efforts in these challenging times.”

9-20 recruitment’s Managing Director Wendy McDougall has said,

“This award now confirms 9-20’s ability to hold it’s own amongst the UK’s best, which send a strong statement to the market demonstrating both our financial sustainability and continued ambition.”

She continues,

“Of all the awards the company has been short listed for I’d have to say this one probably carries the most weight. The recruiter awards for excellence are the UK’s top recruitment awards and to have them recognize all our hard work means a great deal.”

Established since 2002, the Recruiter Awards for Excellence supported by Thomas International celebrate the industry’s achievements year on year and are now firmly established as the recruitment industry’s most illustrious awards.

The year’s ceremony will be held in the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Tuesday 28th April 2009.
