An HR employee at a major catering company won a prestigious Acorn Award from Personnel Today‘s sister publication Caterer & Hotelkeeper.
Ros Bowen, HR business partner at Aramark, picked up the gong earlier this month for her work in restructuring the company.
In their 23rd year, the awards recognise the outstanding achievements of 30 industry professionals under the age of 30 who go above and beyond the call of duty in their every day roles.
Bowen, 28, was up against 129 other industry professionals but managed to beat off the competition.

Aramark’s HR director Robbie Wheeler, who nominated Bowen for the award, said: “[Bowen’s] innovative and creative way of thinking has helped develop a number of important Aramark strategies, including her dedication to shaping a brand new HR resources structure, not to mention her creation of People Pipeline, which is a tool to help staff new businesses.”
Bowen joined Aramark in 2004 as an HR and development adviser, rising to HR business partner for business dining in London in 2006, and just a year later, across the UK.
