Sandra Kerr CBE is Race Director at Business in the Community and works with a range of stakeholders to influence action on race equality in the UK. Sandra led the work behind the Race at Work Charter, launched in 2018 to call on employers to make a public commitment to race equality. The Charter has over 1,000 signatories of businesses committed to taking action on race in the workplace. Before working at Business in the Community, Sandra worked for the Department of Work and Pensions and the Cabinet Office. Sandra received her CBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list for Services to Equality and Diversity in 2019. Sandra is an advocate of mentorship, sponsorship and allyship in the workplace.
