Brewery and pub company Greene King is launching an online flexible benefits
system for 300 management staff.
The new system will allow staff to use the internet to choose from benefits
including pensions, company cars, insurance, holidays and retail vouchers.
The technology is integrated into the company’s existing computer system and
will automatically communicate between employees, HR and payroll.
Staff will then be able to view the value of their remuneration package
through a total rewards statement on the website.
HR director John Roberts hopes the new system, called Signature and designed
by 4th Contact, will make it much easier for staff to manage their benefits.
"The system will improve data quality and lead to more efficient and
simple communications with the staff.

"This will form part of a whole strategic platform using IT to enable
us to manage our people more efficiently," he said.
Automating the benefits package will also remove the administrative burden
of the paper-based system that currently falls on HR.
