BT and consulting giant Accenture have signed a five-year, £70m business processing outsourcing contract for learning services.

The contract, which begins on 1 August, renews a previous learning agreement between the two companies and complements the 10-year £306m HR outsourcing contract signed by BT and Accenture in January 2005.

The services to be provided under the new contract include technical and safety training around switching, data, transmission and network technologies.
