Healthcare
provider Bupa has attributed its increased profitability to improving employee
and customer satisfaction.
Barry
Dyer, director of organisational development at Bupa, explained that flexible
working patterns and a management training programme had contributed
significantly to the company reporting profits of £86.4 million for 2000 –
double those of 1998.
“We recognise the
correlation between employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction, and
performance of the company,” said Dyer.
