• Advertised demand for senior executives was running 20 per cent higher in
the last quarter of 1999 compared with a year earlier, a survey by TMP.MSL
reports. The recruitment consultancy found that all job categories except
design and research & development registered increases in demand.

Demand for general management was more than double that of the previous
year, while in accountancy it was a quarter higher. Personnel senior staffing
levels were up 13 per cent.
