Almost
half of employees have no idea how much holiday they are entitled to, or how
long they should be working.
A
poll of 1,000 workers by the TUC and internet company Tiscali showed that 41
per cent did not know their holiday allowance, while one in six thought they
had no rights at all.
The
UK approach to the European Working Time Directive came under further
suspicion, with one in five respondents wrongly thinking they could be forced
to work more than 48 hours a week.
