Key problems in education and training will be highlighted today in the final report of NACETT, the employer-led body which advises the government on setting education and training targets.
The National Advisory Council for Education and Training Targets report, called Aiming Higher, is expected to outline how education and training in this country compares with others and which of the government’s learning targets for 2002 will not be met.
It will also make recommendations on the role of its successor, the new Learning and Skills Council which takes over on 1 April next year.
