The final three teams in the training category of the Personnel Today Awards
2002 have just been announced.
Retail and railways are well-represented in the Knowledge Pool Award for
Excellence in Training, with the shortlist containing B&Q, GNER and Tesco
Distribution.
DIY retailer B&Q has been nominated for an e-learning programme which
blended workshops and in-store coaching to achieve not only mandatory health
and safety training, but also IT system and credit card system training.
GNER has been listed for its training and development programme which, among
other elements, has one in five managers now studying for a certificate or
diploma.
And Tesco Distribution has been named for its business-led culture change
programme.

The results will be announced on 31 October at the Great Room, Grosvenor
House, London.
