by Louisa Peacock 23 Apr 2010
by Louisa Peacock 23 Apr 2010

HR news and views including:

  • How HR coped with staff absence as thousands of employees were trapped abroad due to the volcanic ash fallout

  • Workforce planning trends: How firms are planning to downsize their permanent workforce and re-hire people as hire sub-contractors to do the same work – saving on building and pension costs. IT giant IBM told Personnel Today it was considering doing this on a huge scale, which could be the start of a trend, according to outsourcing experts.

Presenter Rob Moss is joined by Louisa Peacock.
