Giunti Labs presents new online and mobile learning content management and repository solutions at e-Learning Asia, in Seoul, and EdNET in Chicago, in September.
Giunti Labs will be presenting the new releases of its online and mobile learning content management and digital repositories (DR) solutions – learn eXact LCMS and Harvestroad Hive DR – at two key events in September: the e-Learning Asia 2009 event in Seoul, South Korea (2 – 4 September) and the EdNET 2009 (14 – 16 September) in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
In addition to having a presence at the conferences’ accompanying exhibitions, Giunti Labs will make keynote opening presentations on the future of educational content for Knowledge Societies. These presentations will be delivered by Giunti Labs’ CEO, Fabrizio Cardinali, who is also Chair of the European Learning Industry Group (ELIG); a member of the Board of Directors of the IMS Global learning Consortium, and Global Advisor to MIT’s Open Knowledge Initiative (OKI).
Giunti Labs will also offer half-day thematic pre- and post-conference seminars at the events. These are part of an international series of workshops promoting innovative and creative solutions for educational content production and management.
The workshops present state-of-the-art learning content management standards and solutions. They also showcase Giunti Labs’ adoption into world-leading projects and research & development initiatives extending the production and use of learning contents into location based knowledge access, mobile learning and virtual learning worlds.
In Seoul and Chicago, the workshops’ are intended for academic and corporate CIOs, along with strategy decision makers who want to implement new digital content production, management and sharing strategies in their learning organisations behind their existing LMS and VLE set-ups. This should allow them to achieve wider reusability, interoperability, accessibility and durability of learning materials while sharing them among federated DR networks and empowering new generation learning experiences based upon mobile, virtual and rich media learning contents.
Participation to the half day workshops is free for event attendees on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. To reserve a place at either of these workshops, contact Minna Leikas, Giunti Labs’ marketing manager at [email protected] or call +39 3474 435167.
Cardinali commented: “Today’s mature Knowledge Societies need to re-invent their leadership to survive the global competition coming from emerging economies in the global labour marketplace – and to survive crises while strengthening their cultural stakeholders. To address this issue requires an open and interoperable educational ecosystem – not single turnkey ‘knowledge platforms’.

“I look forward to sharing ideas at the Seoul and Chicago events, where I will discuss how the Korean and American economies aim to preserve their huge standing, expressed in contemporary industrial society terms, but also how they can face the relevant challenges coming from today’s global economic recession. In this, Europe has much to share and learn and, possibly, to contribute for the benefit of all,” he added.
