Global leader in money exchange – The Change Group – selects Cobent LCS to enhance international training processes.

Cobent, a leading provider of compliance training and learning management systems to regulated organisations, has today announced a contract win to supply The Change Group International Plc with its compliant, web-based learning management system – ‘Learning Compliance Suite’ (LCS). LCS will provide The Change Group with the means to cost-effectively deploy, track, manage and report on training across its global operations – centrally and around the clock.

Established in 1992, The Change Group has become one of the world’s leading providers of both commercial and consumer foreign current exchange services with offices and branches covering Europe, the US and Australasia. The key to the company’s success stems from its dedication to foster a strong career development culture for its employees. The company boasts a world class training and development programme and was the first foreign exchange organisation to receive the prestigious ‘Investor in People Award’ in 1998. The Change Group strongly believes in providing its employees with the best training facilities to help them develop and strive for the very best that they can.

In mid 2008, The Change Group undertook  extensive research to find a system to replace their existing internal training system, which was no longer able to provide the level of functionality and flexibility required for the expanding company.  After comparing a number of systems, Cobent LCS was chosen as the ‘best-of-breed’ for its reliability, proven track record and ability to meet The Change Group’s global training requirements cost-effectively and, most importantly, out-of-the-box. The system will allow the company to automate and centralise all training globally – e-learning, classroom, assessments and practical on-the-job sessions. The system has also been integrated with The Change Group’s HR system to provide seamless employee record-keeping.

Stephen Collins, Director of Resources at The Change Group commented “We are constantly on the lookout for ways to improve the way we manage our people; the Cobent system will allow us to concentrate on providing the best service to our employees and customers without the distraction and cost of managing and developing internally built system. LCS will ensure that all of our people, from consultants to senior managers, receive consistent, personalised, quality training – regardless of location or time-zone.”

Collins continued “I’m sure people appreciate that having an unreliable training system can be a de-motivator for employees – providing an easy excuse for non-completion. Here at The Change Group we have dedicated employees and reward programmes in place to encourage continuous learning and development and we intend to build upon this. Indeed, we are excited about the implementation of Cobent LCS and the benefits it will bring to the group.”

Howard Sears, Cobent’s CEO added “The Change Group understand that training isn’t purely an HR ‘process’ or a ‘formality’ but a way to really set yourself apart from your  competitors. They have innovative programmes in place to really motivate employees to learn, not only for the good of the company but for the individuals as well. We are extremely pleased to be working with this industry leader and are looking forward to building on this relationship to assist with future growth.”
