The
Transport and General Workers Union (T&G) has elected a new left-wing general
secretary who claims the Government is ‘too close to big business’.
Tony
Woodley is to become the new general secretary of the T&G after defeating
the more moderate Jack Dromey.
He will
replace the current incumbent Bill Morris, who has occupied the role for the
last 12 years.
