New
regulations to help control the risks around fire and explosions have been
presented to Parliament.
The
Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 2002 will implement
the requirements of two European Union Directives.
The
regulations will apply to all dangerous substances at businesses in the UK,
setting requirements for the protection of employees from fire and explosions.
It
will be supported by guidance and an Approved Code of Practice leaflet,
provided free to all small and medium-sized companies.
