HR director attracted to North Pole

Nigel Godbolt, HR director at logistics firm Ryder, has set off on the ultimate teambuilding challenge – delivering himself and his two team mates to the Magnetic North Pole in this year’s 320-mile Polar Challenge.

Godbolt’s ‘Team Deliverance’ crew is currently racing on skis across one of the world’s most extreme environments, pulling a sled carrying 120lb of supplies.

Before he left last month, Godbolt (pictured right taking a well-earned dip), said: “I expect to be physically, emotionally and mentally challenged as we will be completely cut off from the outside world for about three weeks.”

Team Deliverance will be raising money for the Anthony Nolan Trust and Diabetes UK, and has already had pledges of more than £10,000.
