The Centre for Economic Performance (CEP) has teamed up with recruitment firm Manpower to launch a new global HR research laboratory.
The Manpower HR Lab, based at the London School of Economics (LSE), aims to establish a leading centre of excellence and ‘thought leadership’ platform, studying the impact of HR and labour market productivity trends.
The lab will link data analyÂsis carried out by some of Europe’s leading experts to business management practices. Research findings will be communicated and discussed via regular industry briefings, an annual conference and a series of reports.

Professor Steve Machin, who will head the project, said: ‘The establishment of the Manpower HR Lab is a significant contribution to the development of talent management research at LSE, and we are looking forward to working with Manpower as an industry partner.”
The first year will conclude with a conference, and will provide the opportunity for practitioners, academics and policy makers to come together and share theories and best practice.
