A round up of the latest HR appointments.
Sonia Astill has been appointed as HR director at Argos. Previously, Astill was the HR director at Homebase, which, like Argos, is owned by the Home Retail Group. Astill joined Argos in 2003 and has since held a number of HR roles across the group.

Astill will be replaced at Homebase by Rebecca Woodmansee, who has worked in several HR positions at Home Retail Group, including group head of people and organisation development, and colleague solutions manager in HR operations.
Automatic Data Processing (ADP) has named Dermot O’Brien as its new chief HR officer and corporate vice president. In the role, O’Brien will be responsible for forecasting the company’s global talent needs, overseeing succession planning and management development, and improving employee engagement. He will be based in ADP’s headquarters in Roseland, New Jersey. He joins ADP from financial-services organisation TIAA-CREF, where he worked for nine years as the company’s executive vice president of HR and as a member of its executive management team.
